Pioneer “on-job” training model in Portugal, the “Living Spot” could be a Caffé, a Tea House, a Book shop, an hostel, among other commercial spaces concepts that will be open to public to improve the social and professional skills of the candidates with special education needs. This model will also contribute to the change of a social paradigm towards Cognitive Diversity, since it helps people to believe, by means of a personal experience, in these young adults capacities to have a fulfilling job and an independent and happy life like anybody else.
The Training Center
The Training Centre is in charge of the conception of the candidates’ training plan, which will comprise a programme of daily activities distributed by the “living spot”, activities aimed for personal enrichment (like music, art, dance and yoga, among others), moments at the community and some hours of traineeships within local employers.

The Employment Agency
Intermediation services between the candidates and local partners, looking for the best employment option according to each candidate’s personal and professional profile. Employers will be more prepared to receive the candidates with the intermediation service provided by the Association.
Houses for Independent Living
Through partnerships with local authorities and municipalities, houses will be available to the candidates in order to allow an independent living, in co-habitation model with students from volunteers’ networks and, if necessary, with the support of personal assistants financed by the Portuguese State in accordance with the programme “Independent Living Support Model”.
